Last week was a hectic one. More like working non-stop through the wee hours almost everyday...even weekend..ishh..life is like Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash - Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator. Went out yumchar also, eerrmm..

Well, the only highlight last week was WS's birthday as we went TGIF@the curve for a decent celebration. Followed by Dome where we cut the cake there. Pictures ah..later la...too many dunno which to choose ler :)

This incident below came in when i haven't slept for more than 24 hours non-stop working, and still rushing for deadline in a few hours time...

Debate

Today is the the last time we get to jam until next week as most of the jamming studio will be close due to Raya. Ish.. well, everything was uber cool tonight. Hehehe.. had alot of strangers keep peaking through the windows to watch us..hahaha..like stalker nia. knn !

Had a small talk with this one friend tonight. Debating on the issue of sins, him being a free thinker, me being a buddhist believer. Im not gonna elaborate about it here...but i would say sometimes religion can be a sensitive issue to be chat, i think we did got on each other nerves abit..but no worries as we are good friends..no hard feelings .. heheh

Then when i got home, i got another small debate with this new friend. Telling me to just concentrate on vocals, front my band and find another guitarist, work on my showmanship. Not to elaborate much, i agree, but disagree abit about the hype the crowd, showmanship thingy. Coz if its showmanship, it should be the band's showmanships, and not just my showmanship, rite ? whats the point to hype the crowd when you sing like chicken rite ? wanna thanks to my bandmates who keep encouraging me, always with the quote, "practises makes perfect". hahaha...I think i did improved and learn quite some new techniques here and there throughout the time. Now play and sing seems like a natural act to me..which is a showmanship also mahh..haha :) but still, "practises make perfect"

I didn't get to eat any curry mutton for Deepavali..ish ish..Raya ? well..there's a plan ahead.. ahahhaa.

Ok. Back to work. Ish..damn no life..

Just back from Hyciendia jamming studio. After all, i still think that's the best jamming studio i've jammed so far. Today's session was great, everyone well performed, just the exception that i still have to borrow the studio's guitar and pedal, which wasn't much in control ler..aishh. Meng's friend tag along ( well, we always have extra people in the studio watching us jam anyway..haha, which is actually good as we can somehow get used to audiences ), and helped us recorded down our raw tracks :) EFT now have..hhmm..6 finished raw demo, plus 3-4 more unfinished demo.. and going on..hahah ! im looking forward to the gig next month ! hehe

I think im a bit outdated..as yesterday only i started checking out Breaking Benjamin. Damn, they rocked ! at first listened to "diary of Jane" on the radio, i thought it was Linkin Park new stuffs, but it was not, and actually..better ! awesome band ! one of the song, "rain"..the lyric is nice, but kinda cliche and funny on first listen. But i like.. It goes.

Ace & FYI

What an interesting night. Just came back from Ace Jamming Studio and FYI Entertainment. I got their contact, introduced by Aaron, thus we are there to jam, as the authority there watch us jam to see whether we can play gigs under their organisations. Hollaaa...

One tension scenario is that, we were trying out new stuffs, jamming new song "carry on" halfway, when they came in !!..we were like looking at each other "shitt...we haven't figured out how to end this song yet ! shit ..how ! shit !!!! " but somehow we sort of "created" the ending on the spot, ended on the same beat, same chord...fxxk ! that was funnyyyy..hahahaha... i have no idea how we did that ! hahahahaa...fun shit !

And we had a long conversation with Saiful, the director there after the jam. Which the reason he wanted to see us play first beforehand putting us to gigs is that, they encountered before bands that sent other people's demo, ( of course the good ones ), claimed as theirs, but when they were put to show, 1) they play like suck ;2) they play other genre music (ex. send in pop music, play metal music), totally different from the demo. 3) they are arrogant bastards. Which all these kinda pissed them off..

hahahaha...what a statement.

We were then showed around their recording studio and equipment. Fuck..it was awesome ! i like ! probably might settle to do our demo recording here. hehe

Good to know more new people, people in the scene. hehehe.. hope we get to play more gigs in the future, to spread our "new" music..hahaha..

Farewell

Had a nice decent dinner at Itallianness@ thecurve tonight, a lil farewell for TwuChin who is flying off to Shanghai for 2 years contract work. Met up with ex-classmates that i've haven't seen for at least half year..hahaha. It was a nice catch up with everyone :)



The dinner is nice, but the dessert is WONDERFUL !! especially the tiramisu...ROXXS !!!

Supposed to go down RUSH tonight , but last minute got a call dunno what reason it was cancelled. I didn't ask much also. Plan cancelled and boyboy called just in time. I spent my Saturday night at Station 1 :) Sang along those popular songs with the on stage acoustic performers, played Othello and Jenga, ( or izzit Uno Stacko ?) forgot. Its been quite a while since i touched these boardgames..ahhaha..It was really a stress releasing, fun laughter night. Met quite a few old friends also, not too surprisingly actually...ahhaha..

Went over Esplanade after that. Chill and watch the rising tide touches our feet..actually should be shoes..hahahahahaha... wish there are beaches around Klang...that will be a so nice spot to chill out at half past night..hahahahaHA

Lazy jam

Feel abit one kind that i didn't really pay attention at yesterday's jamming session. I was tired..yeah. oledi totally exhausted from the futsal i had earlier. But i guessed everyone is tired too..from work, from schools. So it was kind of a laid back, "lazy" jamming session..for the 1st 30 mins, i skipped almost all the high notes and screaming vocals, else i will surely burned out damn quickly..ahhahaha...

This one guy who msged me in Jamtank forum, he will be joining us in our jamming session this weekend..he plays the guitar..we will see how things goes..no harm trying out new members anyway..hehehe !

Since i haven't got my guitar yet, i was using the studio's guitar. A Fender Telecaster, 3 single coil..i think so. The pickup sounds so..hhmm.."powerless"..hahaha..yeah..because i think it is meant for doing solos and pluckings..but im playing more on rhythm and power chords, maybe some small riffs here and there..i would prefer using 2 humbucklers pickup guitar, that will be so much better ! haha..correct me if im wrong, im still quite new in all this technical stuffs..hehehe

Today we celebrate Mooncake festival. But im tired..will go down Jenjarom later..i guess so..hehee :) enjoy

haha..apparently it turn out it was just a jamming session as said on the phone, so we happily used the stage for almost an hour. Just like normal jam practise, with a few friends around eating and giggling. Even asking them up to sing for us for fun..hahaha

Met Mr.Paul himself, owner of Paul's Place, who's being helpful and gave us advice and feedbacks..hehehe..know what..we didn't knew that caucasian guy was Mr. Paul himself until i checked out online just now...hahahaha..well..i think we behaved after all. HAha

So we, EFT, were slot in "Tribute to Seattle Sound" on November 4th, of the gig event marathon from Nov till Dec. Heard so much about this place, happy to get to play there next month !

Havoc

You know, turned out that actually it was Thean pranking us back saying him having Master exam paper the next day, which is today, which is a Sunday...both me and WS oledi kinda doubt the possibility of it di...turn out..he memang is taking "revenge" for us waking him up in the middle of the night..hahahaha..backside.

So many interruption at tonight's jamming session, cable gone havoc, annoying amp noises, sensitive mic, phone calls, messages, you know..my lips kena "electrocuted" by the mic !!!! #$@%@!$!@#! ish...it was so scaryy...luckily it didn't bleed..but my lips gone abit numb...damn backside !!! but practise wise, everything is in order, shouldn't be a problem for tomolo's gig. Keep my fingers cross ! hahahaa...

Waken Call

First of all...paiseh to Thean for waking him up 4am in the morning for our meaningless calls. Yea...we were all drunk ..but clean..and start making prank calls..hahahahahah...good luck in your papers dude !

Yes. Im still dizzy and wobbly when im typing this. Started off from a late mamak with the twins and Bev..kesian to boy boy who lost his phone today, and also losing his wisdom tooth, who now apparently can't really eat anything..hehehe..it was almost 1:15 when we reached The Loft, but 2 hours of clubbing is enough to get all of us high and dry..hahahaha..and im still full after bah kut teh "breakfast" an hour ago...shit..i felt so lifeless...hahahaa...

Today i was waken up by a call, by an organiser who heard us and invited us to play for a gig marathon starting from November till December. It was cool though..hehehehe...!

EFT will be doing a 30 mins jamming session at Giggers Artcafe @Klang Lama ( below Paul's Place ) this coming Monday night, alongside with alot more new local bands i assumed. Besides, we decided to drop out from the gig at Cineleisure open stage end of this month, due to because they require us to play cover songs, which we thought wouldn't really benefit us as an independent band.

Yesterday's jamming session was really satisfying. I thought it will be a sucky one as we hadn't really jammed for the past almost 2 weeks as San J is not around. But it turned out better than expected. Good. But i still haven't get my gear yet. Ishhh...i've decided to get ESP LTD MH-50 model. Hopefully by next month ler...

I think i look like shit now...i should be sleeping..but when i shut my eyes i feel the world spinning, which is so torturinggg..ahahahaha...what to do what to do...
